Banana -Banana Ice Cream

Nasi Goreng
  • 6 Bananas
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 litres Milk
  • 4 tbsp Sugar

Banana Ice Cream is a very popular recipe. Learn how to make/prepare Banana Ice Cream by following this easy recipe.

Method:
Keep the milk on low flame for boiling. When it becomes thick, remove it for cooling.
• Peel off bananas and smash them. Now add little milk and sugar. Grind the mixture.
• Mix beaten eggs to the banana shake. Mix it well.
• Keep it in refrigerator in a bowl for about 5 to 6 hours.
• Banana Ice Cream is ready.
Banana Recipes- Bananas Foster Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 4 firm ripe bananas, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice, about 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup banana liqueur
  • 1/2 cup dark rum or good quality brandy

Melt butter in a heavy skillet; add the brown sugar and spices, stirring until the sugar is completely melted. Add the ripe bananas and cook until they are hot and well coated with syrup, but not mushy.

Carefully pour in the banana liqueur and rum.

If the butter is very hot, the bananas will flame on their own. Or, you can cook over medium heat, stirring, until the alcohol cooks out. Or, with a long match, carefully flame the liqueur and brandy in the pan and cook until the flame dies out and the alcohol is cooked out.

Add the juice from the lemon and stir to blend.

Serve the bananas and sauce warm over vanilla ice cream.

Brazilian Braised Chicken and Bananas
Nasi Goreng
  • 4 lbs. chicken thighs and legs (attached)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Salt, milled pepper
  • 3 Tbs. oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 6 plum tomatoes, seeded, chopped
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 3 Tbs. butter
  • 6 firm-ripe bananas, halved lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Method:

Rinse chicken and pat dry with paper towels. Rub it all over with lemon juice and sprinkle well with salt and pepper. In a deep, heavy-bottomed skillet or Dutch oven with a lid, heat the oil over medium heat. Brown chicken on all sides until golden brown. Remove from skillet and keep warm. Add the onion, tomatoes and sugar to pan and cook, stirring, until soft. Return chicken pieces to pan, add the wine and broth, and bring to a simmer. Lower heat and cover pan. Simmer until chicken is tender, about 45 minutes. Set aside and keep warm.

In another large skillet, heat butter and saute banana halves on both sides until golden brown. Arrange bananas on top of the chicken in the skillet and sprinkle them with the Parmesan. Turn heat on low, cover and cook just until cheese melts. Use a large spatula to transfer the chicken with banana on top to plates.

Yield: 6 servings
